Buddha Bar XVIII - Fratelli Mamaia

This Saturday, July 2nd, Johnnie Walker Black Label and Fratelli proudly announce the official launch in Romania of Buddha Bar XVIII, at Fratelli Beach & Club Mamaia!

Our two special guests presenting Buddha Bar XVIII are Sam Popat, resident DJ of Buddha Bar Paris and Andre Rizo, Romanian producer and DJ with two songs included in this album!

Known for his urban rhythm, DJ Sam Popat melds traditional into electronic creating live remixes describing his style as “one part beat lounge music and one part ethnic tribal progressive house”. Since its opening, the Buddha-Bar’s musical identity has embodied an innovative and avant-garde aspect, thanks to the subtle mixture of captivating Electro-Ethnic rhythms and tribal sounds, played each evening by a resident DJ.

Andre Rizo started his DJing career in 2006 and shared the both with well-known artists such as Sonique, Terry Lee Brown Jr. & The Timewriter or Pagal, one of the highlights of his career being the warm-up he did for Sander Van Doorn, in Bucharest. He divided his time between DJing, developing his own productions and remixing tracks for artists such as: Trentemoller, Terry Lee Brown Jr. or Jesca Hoop. 2014 came with a change in the scenery, switching from mainstream music to Deep House, making a great impression with the smashing remix for ’Colindul Cerbului’ which boosted his name in all Romanian clubs, as well as outside its borders. Two of his own productions are included in Buddha Bar XVIII.
